THE BOARD: GRANT-NAYLOR PURIST VERSION

The Grant-Naylor rules are both harder and easier to fulfill than the Standard Rules. Easier because only seven locations are mentioned; harder because the drink for each location must be that which Lister et al drank there:

Old Kent Road: Hot toddies
Whitechapel: Pina coladas.
King's Cross station: Double vodkas
Euston Road: pints of Guinness
The Angel Islington: Mezcals
Pentonville Road: Bitter laced with rum and blackcurrant
Oxford Street: Sake

The implication would seem to be that Lister and his friends played on an Orthodox board (see THE BOARD: ORTHODOX.) However, not only are the squares between Pentonville Road and Oxford Street not explicitly mentioned, The Angel, Islington and Euston Road are actually transposed. So, the Grant-Naylor Purist Rules actually have three variants.
1. The Lister Variant includes only those square specifically listed in the book Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers.
2. The Extra Lister Variant includes the squares between Pentonville Road and Oxford Street, but stops there.
3. The Super Lister Variant continues past Oxford Street, utlimately to Mayfair. Since Lister's next stop after Oxford Street was the Saturnian moon Mimas, any person making it to Bond Street or subsequent squares can claim to be a more accomplished drinker than Dave Lister. However, if he or she is not wearing yellow fishing waders and a pink crimplene hat by this stage, they really would be better not trying to blow their own trumpet.

Note: None of the variants requires that the participants arrive at the Old Kent Road in a frozen meat truck.
